Managing Your Performance Schedule

The upcoming shows section of the member dashboard serves as a performance schedule for your band, to display on your public site. 

Let's walk through the steps of adding and managing events.

To add an event, first choose the date.

Then, the time of the event. 

And, the time zone. Once set, the time zone will remain persistent as long as you are logged in to the dashboard.

Now, we'll add the name of the venue or location. Then, add the city.

For the location link, you can use Google map coordinates to provide directions. Or, you can link to the venue's website. 

Here's how to add Google map coordinates.  Visit https://maps.google.com, and search for the name or address of the performance venue.  When found, select share, and copy the link. In the member dashboard, paste this link into the location link field.

In the "more Information" field, you can add the URL for the venue or the landing page for the performance, or if selling tickets, add the ticket link here. 

Finally, click the Add Show button.

Added performance dates are shown below. To edit a show, select the pencil icon. Make any desired changes, then select the Update Show button. 

If you have multiple dates at the same venue, you can select the copy button to duplicate an existing event to a new entry. Just edit the date, and save. This is a great time saver.  You can also delete entries here, by selecting the trash icon.

Now, let's take a look of how events are displayed on your public site. 

Under the Calendar link, we can see a list of upcoming and past shows, displaying the date, time, and venue name.

The location link will open the URL in a new browser tab. For instance, if we added the Google maps link here in the dashboard, it will open the map, where the site visitor can easily get driving directions.

The More Information link will open to the URL you chose in the dashboard. Again, this can be the venue website or a link to ticketing.

Past shows are shown below. While optional, including your performance history will show prospective booking parties that you are active, and also what kinds of venues and events you've played in the past.
