Video Transcript:
The Band Details section is where you'll enter some key elements of your public profile. Let's walk through each area now.
First, enter your band name. It is very important to enter the exact band name you'd like displayed, because once entered, it cannot be changed without contacting band breeze support. This is because your public URL and custom domain, if using one, are linked to your band name. It's OK to use spaces if your band name consists of multiple words.
If you have a tagline for your band you'd like to display, for instance, Houston's Premier Rock Cover Band, you can enter it here. Taglines are displayed under your band name on the header image, or in the top navigation bar depending on your chosen theme layout. This is completely optional. You can choose to leave this blank.
Your band bio is your introduction to your site visitors. First, choose a headline. You can be creative here, or simply use something like "About the band."
Next, add the body of your bio. This should consist of a paragraph or two about your band. It's best to cover the basics here, but keep it a reasonable length. A paragraph or two is great. Explain who you are, where you're from, what geographical area you cover, your musical genre, a bit of history, and any other key information you want to convey to your site visitors.
The visual identity section is where you'll add your band logo, if you have one, and primary band photo. The logo is optional. Your band photo is the main image displayed in your public URL header section and an important part of your presentation. Use an official band photo here, or any photo that you'd like. For best results, ensure it is between 1200 and 2000 pixels wide, landscape orientation, and 72 pixels per inch. For best site performance and fast loading times, don't use high resolution 300 pixel per inch images here. High resolution photos used for promotion like print media should be uploaded in the promotional assets section in your member dashboard.
The logo is optional, but is great way to add more personalization to your site if used in place of the default band name text header, configurable in the appearance section.
When finished adding all your band details and images. select the Save Profile button.
